On October 25 the Missouri Valley Members participated in an event called “ Apprentice for a Day”. The event was held at the Sheet Metal Workers Training School. This was a unique opportunity for club members to learn “Hands-on” welding, plasma cutting, metal finishing, fabrication and assembly processes. Attendees participated in both classroom and shop instruction conducted in an enjoyable atmosphere. Two nice hand fabricated projects were planned for everyone that participated. They made tool trays and plasma cutouts of 2 styles of Model A cars. In addition to the projects the members recieved a lesson on mig welding and hands on practice.
